I thank the members of the jury for bestowing this huge honour upon my film. The awards will, without doubt, prove to be a motivating factor to make many more such films.

At this juncture, I wish to remember my film's protagonist, the late Nallandi sir, who, despite his old age, acted tirelessly in my film. He breathed life into his character and made people celebrate the film.

My heartfelt thanks also go to the people of the village who enabled me to make this film and to the production houses  Vijaysethupathi Productions and 7CS Entertainments, which  helped me take this film to the masses around the world.

I wish to extend my wholehearted gratitude to Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who not only acted in the film, but also played a crucial part in enabling me to make this film.

I wish to equally thank all the members of my unit, without whom this film wouldn't be what it is.

Last but not the least, I wish to thank the media, which took this film to the people and all those who have been congratulating us for the honour. Thank you all once again for your love. "
