Kajol reviews Saali Mohabbat; Calls Radhika Apte-Divyenndu's film 'cool funny dark thriller'

Saali Mohabbat is an upcoming Hindi-language thriller that marks the directorial debut of Tisca Chopra. Starring Radhika Apte & Divyenndu Sharma, the film is all set to land on ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium) on December 12, 2025. The film premiered at IFFI Goa and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival. Ahead of the digital release, Kajol shared her review of Saali Mohabbat.

On December 8, Kajol took to her Instagram Story and shared her review for the film. She praised the film and wrote, "Such a cool funny dark thriller! Must watch. Kudos to the whole team and most specially @radhikaofficial for a crackerjake performance." 

About Saali Mohabbat

Saali Mohabbat centres on Smita (Radhika Apte), a reserved housewife in a village called Furstagadh, whose world implodes after a double murder. The film weaves events from Smita's past into a narrative of the present, where another woman, Kavita (implied to be narrating or connected), narrates Smita's story, blurring the past and present within Smita's own marital problems.

A police officer, Ratan (Divyenndu Sharma), investigates the deaths, uncovering a web of secrets and betrayal, making Smita a suspect in a suspenseful "howdunit".

It delves deep into betrayal, deception, hidden motives, shifting identities, and women's inner strength, exploring how love can transform the darkness and power dynamics in relationships.

The film stars Radhika Apte as Smita, the central housewife. Divyenndu Sharma plays Police Officer Ratan. Anurag Kashyap also features in the cast. Anshumaan Pushkar, Sauraseni Maitra, and Sharat Saxena also appear in the film for pivotal roles.
