The first look and title of Udhayanidhi's first movie with Magizh Thirumeni was unveiled recently. Kalaga Thalaivan is billed as a crime drama and has Nidhhi Agerwal playing the female lead in it. The makers have now unveiled a teaser of the film which is expected to hit the screens in November.

The one-minute promo video sums up the movie's plot without giving away details of the character essayed by its protagonist. The film revolves around a few dreaded group of cold-blooded criminals who have no iota of empathy left in them.

According to the teaser, around 70 such groups across the world have been identified and made inactive through various measures. However, the unfortunate fact is, the number of such unidentified groups are much more, and they might be living around us.

If the visuals and presentation in the teaser are anything to go by, film buffs and fans of Magizh are likely to be in for a huge treat. It's been a while since the filmmaker has come up with a movie. His last outing, the Arun Vijay-starrer crime drama Thadam, hit the screens in 2019. He had also made his acting debut with Arya's Teddy in 2021.

Kalaiyarasan, Arav and Angana Roy among others essay key roles in Kalaga Thalaivan which has cinematography by K Dhillraj. Srikanth NB is in charge of editing while Arrol Corelli and Srikanth NB have helmed the music department.

The movie will be Udhayanidhi's second release this year after Arunraja Kamaraj's crime thriller Nenjuku Needhi. Maamannan is the next release for the actor-producer-politician who has bankrolled Kalaga Thalaivan under his home production. The shooting for the project was wrapped up a while ago.
