Kalamkaval box office collection day 5: Mammootty has once again impressed with his villainous avatar in his latest Malayalam film Kalamkaval, which has a strong hold at the ticket window. Also starring Vinayakan, Kalamkaval has already raced past Rs 50 crore to become the fourth fastest Mammootty film to hit the milestone, in just 5 days. Other films in the fastest 50 crore in Malayalam include Mohanlal’s Empuraan and Thudarum, and Lokah.

The 2025 Malayalam film Kalamkaval has recorded Rs 52.8 crore in worldwide collections as it completes five days at the box office, as per trade Sacnilk. The fact that Mammootty’s Kalamkaval notched up the milestone within five days means that it is the fourth fastest film to make Rs 50 crore, as per online trackers. 

The fastest 50 crore club in Malayalam is led by Mohanlal’s Empuraan, which achieved the milestone with unprecedented pre-sales itself. Mohanlal occupies the second spot as well with his Thudarum, which took three days to hit the milestone. Kalyani Priyadarshan’s blockbuster film Lokah Chapter 1 Chandra follows right behind by taking four days to rake in Rs 50 crore. Lokah is currently the all-time highest grosser in Malayalam with over Rs 300 crore collections.

On the other hand, Kalamkaval continues to perform well at the box office. On day 5, the Mammootty film made Rs 2.8 crore, taking the total India Malayalam net collections to Rs 22.2 crore. Given that it is a working day, the film is recording solid box office numbers. The Jithin K Jose directorial had earlier passed the Monday test with Rs 2.9 crore, and Tuesday’s number vouch that there is no dip in BO performance. The film has already surpassed the box office collections of Eko, which released on November 21.
