Manu C Kumar-directed Malayalam dramedy film Sesham Mikeil Fathima, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, is all set for its theatrical release. The makers of the film - which went on floors in September 2022 - have now announced that it will hit the screens on November 3, along with Suresh Gopi’s Graudan and Sharaf U Dheen-starrer Tholvi F.C. Sesham Mikel Fathima is a feel-good, comedy-drama that also features Shaheen Siddique, Sudheesh and Minnal Murali fame actress Femina George. Initially planned as an OTT release, Netflix had reportedly acquired the digital rights of the film.

Another family drama film, Tholvi F.C., is also set to release on November 3, along with Sesham Mikeil Fathima. While Suresh’s star power may give Garudan an edge in terms of initial collections, the other two films also have a chance to attract family audiences.

Sesham Mikeil Fathima’s plot, cast and crew

According to the director, Sesham Mikeil Fathima’s plot revolves around Kalyani’s character, set in the Malabar region of Kerala. Kalyani plays a football commentator from Malappuram district, who is known for her love for the sport. In an interview with OTTplay earlier, Manu had said that the film is neither female-centric nor completely focussed on football.

He emphasised that football is only one aspect of the film, which mainly follows the life of Fathima, played by Kalyani. In the movie, the actress uses the Malabar dialect, similar to her previous film - the Tovino Thomas-starrer Thallumaala. Kabir Singh fame cinematographer Santhana Krishnan is in charge of Sesham Mikeil Fathima’s camera work, while Hridayam fame composer Hesham Abdul Wahab is in charge of its music department.
