Kamal Haasan, Santhana Bharathi, Dharani, Vetrimaaran and Pa Ranjith join hands, fans say 'legends in one frame'

Fans of Kamal Haasan, who are elated with regular updates on Indian 2, which is expected to hit the screens this year, are curious about the filmmaker who will direct their favourite star next. Mollywood director Mahesh Narayanan's name surfaced first with regard to helming the Ulaganayagan, but an official update is awaited.

The likes of Pa Ranjith and Vetrimaaran are also expected to join hands with the veteran actor-filmmaker. The latter is said to be at the forefront, and his movie with Kamal might take off after the release of his much-awaited project Viduthalai.

Meanwhile, a picture featuring Kamal Haasan, Vetrimaaran, Pa Ranjith, Santhana Bharathi and Dharani is now doing the rounds on social media. The five of them are seen striking a comfy pose and netizens are going gaga over it. Many are excited to see the legends in one frame and are wondering when Kamal is going to team up with them.

He was seen along with Santhana Bharathi in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram last year. The duo was part of many popular movies and their combination scenes in Vikram stood out, thanks to their chemistry.  

If everything goes well, Kamal might say yes to Vetri as there is unconfirmed news of the latter postponing Suriya's Vaadi Vaasal for quite some time. The ambitious project, bankrolled by Kalaippuli S Thanu, we hear, will take some time to go on floors. Ranjith is currently busy with Vikram's Thangalaan which is likely to be released this year.  

The shooting of Shankar's Indian 2 is now happening in Andhra Pradesh. The filmmaker is juggling between the production of the Kamal-starrer and Ram Charan's RC 15.
