Fans of Silambarasan are on cloud nine as their matinee idol's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is just two weeks away from its release. The movie, which is carrying good expectations, brings the actor together with director Gautham Menon for the third time after Vinnaithandi Varuvaya and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada.
The makers have so far unveiled a couple of songs from the film which have been composed by AR Rahman. The legendary composer was the musician for the actor-filmmaker duo's two earlier projects. The trailer launch of the film is slated to happen in Chennai on September 2, and the team is working in full swing to make it a grand affair.
Ishari K Ganesh, who has bankrolled the movie under Vels Film International, took to his Twitter page to inform that he has invited Kamal Haasan to grace the occasion. He also posted a picture of him posing for a photo along with the Ulaganayagan at the latter's office.
Needless to say, fans of Kamal are equally excited and are looking forward to the event. Silambarasan was one of the chief guests for the audio and trailer launch of Kamal's Vikram which was held in May. Hence, movie buffs are hoping that Kamal would return the favour with his presence.
Silambarasan made a huge comeback with Venkat Prabhu's Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV) which was released last year. The actor was last seen in Maha (streaming on aha Tamil) in a cameo. Gautham Menon had helmed two segments for the anthologies Putham Pudhu Kaalai and Kutty Story in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
His last feature film was the Dhanush-starrer Enai Noki Paayum Thota. Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha and Dhruva Natchathiram are long-delayed projects he currently has in his kitty.
