Filmmaker Karan Johar has been receiving backlash after an old video of him resurfaced, in which he is seen saying that he wanted to ‘murder’ Anushka Sharma’s career because he didn’t like her pictures when she was just starting out in films. This came after Priyanka Chopra Jonas said in a podcast with Dax Shepherd that she ended her Bollywood career because she was being pushed into a corner.
Now, Karan is facing heat from Queen actor Kangana Ranaut, who has accused the filmmaker of bullying her on national television.

One must recall the now-popular interaction between Kangana and Karan on the latter's talk show, Koffee With Karan Season 5, when the actress brought up the topic of nepotism.
Kangana was accompanied by her Rangoon co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan on Karan's show, in which she called Karan the "flagbearer of nepotism". This began several debates on nepotism in Bollywood, some of which are still going on today.
In her latest Instagram Story, Kangana has taken a dig at Karan, without directly naming him, and has called him a bully.
Kangana shared a screenshot of a post from a papparazo's Instagram account on her Instagram Stories, with the caption, "Ek waqt tha jab Chacha Chaudhary elite nepo mafia walon ke saath national television pe mujhe insult and bully karta tha (There was a time when Chacha Chaudhary along with the elite nepo mafia would insult and bully me on national television) because I couldn't speak English..."
Her Story further read, "Aaj inki Hindi dekh ke khayal aaya, abhi toh sirf tumhari Hindi sudhari hai aage aage dekho hota hai kya (After seeing his Hindi I can see that I have improved it for him. There is still a lot more to come)".
Karan sparked controversy after an old video of his surfaced online in which he said that he wanted to 'murder' Anushka Sharma's career. Karan and Anushka had even joked about this at the promotions for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
The video started doing the rounds once again after Priyanka Chopra Jonas said in a podcast with Dax Shepherd, titled Armchair Expert, that she ended her Bollywood career because she was being pushed into a corner.
Finding himself in the eye of the storm, Karan's Instagram Story read, "Laga lo ilzaam, hum jhukne waalon mein se nahi… jhoot ka ban jao ghulam… hum bolne waalon mein se nahi… jitna neecha dikhaoge… jitne aarop lagaoge… hum girne waalon mein se nahi… humara karam humari Vijay hai...aap utha lo talvaar... Hum marne waalon mein se nahi..."
His post translates to. "State the allegations, I'm not among those who will bow down or become a slave to lies. I won't say anything however much you try to slander and show me in a bad light. I will not fall. My goodness is my victory. You can use any sword, I will not die."
This is the post that Kangana has taken a dig at.
