Kanimangalam Kovilakam is the lone theatrical release this week, because Nikhila Vimal's Pennu Case, which was originally scheduled to be premiered on the same day, debuted a week earlier. The popular Malayalam web series of the same name, which is available for streaming on YouTube, serves as the inspiration for Kanimangalam Kovilakam. As a result, it is anticipated that many young people who enjoyed the series would see this movie in theatres.

Raajesh Mohan, who is most widely recognised for helming Theeppori Benny, is the film's writer and director. Rafi DQ, Ajmal Khan, Abbii Krish, Akhil NRD, Amrutha Saju, Tony K Jose, Mudiyanaya Puthran, and Shaamon are among the actors in Kanimangalam Kovilakam. Because of their social media content, they are all well-liked by young people. The majority of the film was filmed in various locations of Kollam district in Kerala.

It's interesting to note that Rafi DQ lately appeared in a pivotal role in Nidhiyum Bhoothavum, another Malayalam horror comedy.
