Kannada Chalanachitra Cup Part IV, the fourth edition of the cricket tournament founded by Kiccha Sudeep will be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from December 23 to December 25. Over three days, six teams - Vijayanagara Patriots led by J Karthik, Kadamba Lions by Rajeev Hanu, Wodeyar Chargers by Vikranth, Ganga Warriors by Ganesh, Rashtrakuta Panthers by Pradeep and Hoysala Eagles by Kiccha Sudeep – will play 15 matches, with the best two then proceeding to the final. Like KCC2023, the new season will also be available to watch on the Zee Network, if you are unable to catch the action at the stadium. Zee Picchar is the telecast partner, while Zee5 is the streaming destination.

Unlike last time, when there were only six matches, the three day-tournament is going to be action packed. Speaking at the players auction, during which team selection and fixtures were decided, he said that the time paucity in the earlier edition meant that if a team lost their first match itself, it would spell the end of the road for them based on net run rate. This time around, there’s a more fair playing ground, with each time playing the other in the round robin stage. Matches will begin as early as 9 am on both December 23 and 24, and go on late into the night. The schedule has been designed to ensure that all the teams also get an opportunity to play under the stadium floodlights.

As is practice, each team gets a professional international cricket player, and this time, Suresh Raina, Badrinath, Robin Uthappa, Murali Vijay, Herschelle Gibbs and Tilakaratne Dilshan will be a part of the tournament. Non-playing faces of the team, like Shivarajkumar, Upendra and Duniya Vijay are expected to be in the stands to entertain audiences over the three days.
