Parmish Verma and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub have teamed up for a web series that promises to be a thrilling ride (more so on a newly launched OTT platform). As the title itself suggests, the show is about a Punjabi who has migrated to Canada (they often call Canada, Kanneda). This Punjabi man has been trying to survive a new set of challenges that come with moving to a new country, including and especially racism (more prevalent in Canada’s neighbouring country US and of course UK back in the day). While announcing the series, the makers have also unveiled the release date and platform. Here's when and where you can watch Kanneda upon its OTT release...

Featuring Parmish Verma, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ranvir Shorey, Arunoday Singh, Aadar Malik and Jasmin Bajwa, Kanneda is a series based on the life of a Punjabi man who decides to leave India in the midst of 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Parmish, who plays the role of Nimma, now has to navigate a whole new world that is unforgiving to Indians. In the midst of a broken system and racism, he faces immense hardship to earn his keep in the country he chose while his own was in shambles. Not soon after (1990s Canada), Nimma finds himself in the midst of gang culture, and how music saves him. "Playing Nimma was a unique experience and as an artist, it was an incredibly fulfilling one," Parmish said about Nimma in a press statement. Producer AG Rai adds, "Power is intoxicating, but in this world, it’s also a ticking time bomb." He also believes that the stakes that the narrative set make it a must-watch.
