Kantara Chapter 1: Su from So star Shaneel Gautham shares a huge update on Rishab Shetty's film

Today, he is everyone’s favourite Ravi anna, thanks the hit Kannada comedy film Su From So. But Shaneel Gautham has had acting gigs earlier too, including in films like Ondu Motteya Kathe and Kantara, and that’s not all, he’s also a prolific writer and shares writing credits with Rishab Shetty on the latter. Shaneel is now back home in Mangaluru after all the promotions and post-release tours of Su From So, which has given him quite the fan following, and all set to focus on the release of his next, the much-awaited prequel to Kantara – Kantara Chapter 1.

Rishab’s latest is less than a month from its theatrical release and audiences have been getting restless, waiting for the trailer or songs to build excitement around the film. The actor-filmmaker has been very secretive about what he’s presenting this time around. While he had a teaser of the original Kantara out in April 2022 on the eve of the release of KGF: Chapter 2 with the trailer of the film out in early September for its September 30 release, audiences have been keenly anticipating a similar approach from the makers this time too.

Shaneel's got a Kantara Chapter 1 update

With no word on when to expect the trailer or any other promotional material, Shaneel, though, has given an update that has excited netizens and how. Posting a picture of the core team of Kantara on September 4, including Rishab, cinematographer Aravind Kashyap, Anirudh Mahesh, who is also on the writing team, along with himself, Shaneel wrote that they are inching closer towards the final copy, and added a countdown of 28 days to go.

The buzz on social media is that as has been the case with the production house’s major projects, Kantara Chapter 1 will have a two-week whirlwind of promotional activities, given that it is the second film in the franchise and audiences are keenly waiting for it.
