Looks like all is not well for comedian Kapil Sharma and his fans. A report suggests that the host of The Kapil Sharma Show has filed a complaint against car designer Dilip Chhabria for trying to extract money illegally. The complaint has been filed at the office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This development comes months after ED summoned Kapil Sharma in connection with the Mahadev betting app case.

Kapil Sharma files ED complaint against car designer

According to a report published by news agency PTI, Kapil Sharma has informed the Enforcement Directorate that car designer Dilip Chhabria, who is accused of defrauding several celebrities, attempted to shift blame onto him regarding the non-delivery of a customized vehicle Sharma had ordered.

Sharma alleged that Chhabria resorted to illegal means to extort money from him. Mohammed Hamid, Sharma's authorized representative, has provided a statement to the ED as part of its chargesheet against Chhabria in a money laundering case. A special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court, overseeing the case, has acknowledged the chargesheet and issued summons to Chhabria and six other accused individuals. They are required to appear before the court on February 26. The ED's case is based on three FIRs filed against the accused, one of which involves Sharma's allegations of cheating.

Only time will tell when justice will be served to Kapil Sharma.
