OMG 2 has officially been declared a superhit movie after it collected over Rs 100 crores at the box office across India. Directed by Amit Rai, this satirical comedy-drama film shows the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal – a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva – whose son is blamed for immoral conduct and thrown out of school.
In the film, the role of Kanti is essayed by Pankaj Tripathi, whereas the role of Lord Shiva is portrayed by Akshay Kumar. Yami Gautam plays the role of an eminent lawyer in the movie.
This movie arrived at the theatres on August 11 and since then, has received massive appreciation from almost all corners of the world. To add to the number of appreciation posts, filmmaker Karan Johar has dropped a lovely message for the film.

What did Karan Johar say about OMG 2?
In an interview with the Indian Express last evening, Karan Johar said, “OMG is a great example. I mean it is a massive experiment to pull off a film that has Akshay Kumar in a strong supporting role and talks about sex education.”
“If you saw the film, it is a very brave film to make in the mainstream. In my film (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani), you have a man doing Kathak so well,” Karan added.
The famous filmmaker goes on to highlight that even today talking about sex openly and teaching them in schools is a big taboo in many parts of India and OMG 2 shows the lead actor fighting for the same in the film.
The interview also included a rapid-fire session hosted by none other than the Dream Girl 2 starlet Ananya Panday who made her Bollywood debut with Karan Johar-produced Student of the Year 2.

Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar have collaborated on a total of two films so far. The dynamic duo first came together for the film "Brothers," which was released in 2015. Produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions, the movie showcased the intense bond between the two brothers and their journey of fighting for justice.
Same as this scenario, their second collaboration was for the film "Kesari," which hit the screens in 2019. Based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi, this period drama depicted the bravery and valor of 21 Sikh soldiers. The combination of Akshay Kumar's versatile acting skills and Karan Johar's vision has proved to be a success, leaving fans eagerly awaiting their next venture together.
