It has become the number 1 Indian film of 2025 and is still going strong both at the domestic and worldwide box office. He further added that the film makes him feel like his craft is limited. Mentioning that he respects everyone's opinions, Karan further added, "What I loved about Dhurandhar is I didn’t feel the director was self-aware. I felt like he wasn’t trying to show off his craft, and yet it was seamlessly telling you the story."
The filmmaker also said that he never felt like Aditya went wide, and the film was beautifully shot without self-awareness. "So, it made me question my ability as a filmmaker. So, that’s always a good thing for me, as a filmmaker. I look at that as a positive lens," he said. Karan also mentioned that he began the year loving Saiyaara and ended the year loving Dhurandhar, and in the meantime, he also loved Lokah. Johar.
