Filmmaker Karan Johar teams up with Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga for his long-awaited action flick Kill, starring Lakshya Lalwani in the lead role. The high-octane thriller finally announced a theatrical release date in India, months after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, this upcoming actioner will unveil its ferocious tale in July 2024. Here’s more about the film.

Kill theatrically release date

Finally! After months of waiting for updates on the release date for Kill, the makers have unveiled when to watch Lakshya’s thriller. Helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill is a bloody and gore action ride that is set to release theatrically across India on July 5. However, no official teaser has been released as of now, thus skyrocketing the expectations and adrenaline rush for crime genre fans.

About Action Kill

Karan Johar has traded his sweet romance lens for a riveting action one as he gears up for his next promising Dharma productions. Taking to his social media account a few months ago, the acclaimed filmmaker unveiled the official poster introducing the main protagonist, headlined by Lakshya, who will be making his Bollywood debut with Kill.

"KILL'—an action-packed high-octane film starring Lakshya—is the next action hero to look out for," Karan Johar penned on his Instagram. In the poster, Lakshya is held at knifepoint by a soldier-like figure. His intense look and bruised face hint at graphic action with blood and violence.

Filmmakers Karan Johar and Guneet Monga collaborated on an adrenaline-hiking action project called Kill. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director shared a carousel of pictures from the special screening event in Toronto on his Instagram. In the pictures, the Kill team is flaunting their style and excitement. Guneet Monga, Lakshya, Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta, and actor Raghav Juyal were seen celebrating the special premiere as they papped on the red carpet.

More updates on the film’s trailer and teaser are awaited.
