Anupam Kher is all set to present his second directorial, Tanvi: The Great. The film has been getting significant buzz and attention ever since it was announced. After revealing the first look of Shubhangi Dutt, the female lead of the film, Anupam Kher shared the first look of Karan Tacker, who joined the cast as Captain Samar Raina. While presenting the poster, the veteran actor also shared which shows of Karan impressed him the most.

On May 11, Anupam Kher took to his Instagram account and shared the first look of Karan Tacker in Tanvi: The Great. He will play the role of Captain Samar Raina in the film. Sharing the poster, the veteran actor also shared shows of Karan that impressed him while expressing his good wishes to Karan on his birthday. 

He wrote, “ACTORS of TANVI THE GREAT: Happy Birthday Karan!  When I watched #NeerajPandey’s ‘Special Ops’ I was deeply impressed by the presence and performance of #KaranTacker.  #KhakiTheBiharChapter was equally impressive! Karan has this unique ability to make his performances look effortless but still carry the weightage of a seasoned actor."

He further wrote, "The role he plays in #TanviTheGreat had these requirements! He carries the Indian Army uniform and the responsibilities that come along with it with finesse, dignity and majestic grace. You will love him in TTG! Meanwhile, Karan Tacker expressed his gratitude for getting an opportunity to work with Anupam Kher. He said that it was always his dream to collaborate with Anupam Sir in some way on celluloid.

He also added that he has always been a fan of The Kashmir Files actor. "I never thought that it would come with such a beautiful pleasure of being directed by him and to get to play Capt. Samar Pratap Raina, a role I loved. I am truly humbled and grateful to be a part of such a beautiful and sensitively narrative, #TanviTheGreat, I can’t wait for the world to witness it. Jai Hind!" he said. 

Meanwhile, apart from Shubhangi Dutt and Karan Tacker, the upcoming film also features Jackie Shroff as Brig. Joshi, Arvind Swami as Major Srinivasan, and Pallavi Joshi as Vidya Raina.
