Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in her digital debut film, Jaane Jaan. The film, directed by Sujoy Ghosh also starred Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma and has been appreciated by the critics as well as the audience. The actress is now preparing for her upcoming film, 'The Buckingham Murders,' directed by Hansal Mehta.

At Netflix's The Actors' Roundtable 2023, Kareena spilled the beans about her character in the movie. She said, "I play a grieving mother. Her child gets shot in the first scene of the film and she is a detective. And she is been given the case. She runs away from this town then she goes to this town and she is been given the case."

"I think I loved playing that part because this is the first time I am playing a detective and I am a huge crime drama fan. But somehow I just found that it was just deeply disturbing and after a point, I just felt that I don't want to know her because she is just so unhappy and so grieving. After a point, I was just like I want to go home."
