The eagerly anticipated film Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, recently opened in theatres to lukewarm reviews. On the other hand, according to Pinkvilla, there have been rumours about Rhea Kapoor embarking on the Veere Di Wedding sequel over the past few months. The film, which starred Kareena, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania, and Sonam Kapoor, was well received by audiences, and supporters have already been impatiently anticipating the sequel.
However, when word of Kareena and Rhea's involvement broke, many assumed it to be a sequel to this movie. Kareena, however, dismissed these speculations by stating that it isn't Veere Di Wedding 2 but instead a new script with a fascinating plot.
Kareena went on to say that since Rhea has cast actresses from the current generation, the movie will focus primarily on women. Kareena stated that there are two additional outstanding actors on board without giving their names. She continues, “Rhea will make the announcement soon. The film is not about stars; instead, it’s about [strong] women coming together.” According to reports, Rajesh Krishnan will direct the film.
In the meantime, the box office performance of Laal Singh Chaddha has not been great. Aamir Khan, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya all have significant parts in this movie. The movie is an official Hindi version of the 1994 Academy Award-winning Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The movie is produced by Kiran Rao, Viacom18 Studios, and Aamir Khan Productions and is helmed by Advait Chandan.
On the work front, Kareena will next be featured in Sujoy Ghosh's thrilling drama, which is based on the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X. The actress will make her producing debut with Hansal Mehta's thriller film.
