It is nothing short of a casting coup as Paoli, Asutosh Rana, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Pranay Pachauri, and Satish Kaushik gear up with their succession drama, Karm Yuddh. Directed by Ravi Adhikari, the series has already garnered attention after the trailer was dropped. The initial look reveals a crisis looming over a Kolkata-based family, Roys. The drama intensifies as a grisly incident comes to the fore.
The trailer reveals that a bloody massacre takes place in a factory that is also burnt down. As the investigation proceeds, the family dynamics unfold. Paoli, aka Indrani Roy – one of the key successors of the family – announces, “It is the men who fight the war but it is the queens who win it.” We further see an intense family feud between Paoli and Satish Kaushik. Now, the eight-episodic series is slated to drop on Disney+ Hotstar on September 30.
The actress took to her social media handle to post an introductory video of her character. She wrote, “It’s the queen Indrani Roy’s world, and others are just living in it.”
Meanwhile, Pranay Pachauri wrote, “My next… can’t wait for all of you to see it. The City of Joy turns into a bloody battleground for the Roys.”
On the other hand, talking about his character in Karm Yuddh, Asutosh Rana stated that though viewers might find his character dark. However, he further stated that the character of Guru Shahstri has too many grey shades. “He is devious, convincing, and, most importantly, has the cover of mystery that other players in Karm Yuddh do not have,” he said in a statement.
