On Sunday, production banner Dream Warrior Pictures announced their new project. Featuring actor Karthi in the lead role, the film is tentatively titled Karthi 29 and is directed by filmmaker Tamizh who earlier made Taanakaaran.
Actor Karthi, who is known for choosing different scripts, on Sunday, made a new announcement about his next project. Dream Warrior Pictures, the production house which is known for bankrolling films like Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Aruvi, Kaithi, and Farhana, will be producing Karthi 29. SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu will serve as producers of the project. It is to be noted that Karthi has often collaborated with the banner and delivered films like Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Kaithi, Sulthan, Kaashmora, and Japan.
The title poster is in a monotone color palette and shows a ship steering through an ocean. Touted to be a period film, the project is mounted on a grand scale. Tamizh made his debut with the critically acclaimed Taanaakkaran produced by Potential Studios. The film had a direct digital release, earned critical acclaim from leading critics, and was lauded by audiences across the globe.
Karthi 29 will be co-produced by Ivy Entertainment and B4U Motion Pictures, headed by Ishan Saksena, Sunil Shah, and Raja Subramanian. The shooting for the film will begin soon, with the movie planned for release in 2025. Karthi 29 is currently in the pre-production stages. The other cast and crew updates of Karthi 29 will be revealed by the production house in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Karthi is currently expecting the release of Meiyazhagan which is due to release on September 27. The film is directed by Prem Kumar of 96 fame and also stars Arvind Swamy, Sri Divya, and others.
