Karthi as Vanthiyathevan: Check out the actor's poster as the swashbuckling adventurer from Ponniyin Selvan

It looks like team Ponniyin Selvan has decided to surprise movie lovers every day until the cast and crew themselves go all out to promote the movie. A poster of Vikram was released yesterday by the makers in which he was seen as Chola Prince Aditya Karikalan.    

Movie lovers and fans of Mani Ratnam have been eagerly waiting to know what surprise the filmmaker and the team have in store for them today. A few on social media expected Jayam Ravi's poster to be out today, while some others have been pinning hopes to see a glimpse of Karthi from the big budget movie.

Staying true to the expectations of a few of them, the makers released Karthi's poster with the caption which describes his character "The Prince without a kingdom, the spy, the swashbuckling adventurer". He plays Vanthiyathevan in the film and is seen riding a horse with a smile on his face.

Fans of Karthi and others who are waiting eagerly for the project are quite impressed with the poster, and going by the comments on Twitter, there isn't a better actor in Kollywood who could pull off the character which involves loads of action, suspense and mystery.

Tamil film fans are now keeping their fingers crossed as they wait for tomorrow's update from the team. In all probability, it is likely to be Jayam Ravi's poster the makers would unveil tomorrow. It is expected that it will be followed by posters of Aishwarya Rai and Trisha.

The mammoth project jointly bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies is slated for a theatrical release on September 30. The movie's teaser is said to be releasing in a week's time. Ponniyin Selvan is the biggest multi-starrers to have been made in Tamil in recent years.
