Karthick Naren's funny request to Elon Musk about releasing his film Naragasooran goes viral

Karthick Naren is someone who made heads turn with his debut film Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which released in 2016. Unsurprisingly, his sophomore project, Naragasooran, piqued the curiousity of film lovers ever since it was announced. Arvind Swami, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishan, Aathmika and Indrajith were roped in to play lead roles in the thriller which was set against the backdrop of Ooty. 

Though the project was supposed to release in 2018, it is yet to see the light of the day. Director Gautham Menon, who was part of the film's distribution, landed in trouble when Karthick accused him as the main reason for delaying its release.

Even after four years, the movie remains unreleased. Last year, there were reports that Naragasooran will have a direct release on SonyLIV and that an announcement will be made on the same. However, there hasn't been any update on its release. 

Karthick then went on to direct Mafia (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) with Arun Vijay and Maaran with Dhanush. The former released in theatres while the latter had a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar recently. After the latter opened to negative reviews, he had taken to Instagram to post that he would reveal a few things behind the lacklustre response the movie received. 

The young filmmaker has now taken to Instagram again to come up with a funny post on the delay in release of Naragasooran. Elon Musk has been hitting headlines ever since he bought Twitter the other day. Karthick requested the leading entrepreneur to buy the movie and release it before he leaves for Mars. 

Needless to say, the comment section was filled with various hilarious comments. While a few asked him to stay strong, some others asked him to display such smartness while writing scripts as well.
