For fans of Vikram who are concerned about not having an update on Mahaan, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the director has now come up with an announcement. He took to Twitter to inform that the dubbing for the movie has been completed. Karthik also released a still of Vikram and Dhruv from the dubbing studio, leaving the actor's fans elated.
The picture has the father-son smiling at each other in the studio while a photo of them from the movie is seen in the background. Despite the speculation doing the rounds that the action flick is said to be releasing directly on Amazon Prime Video next month, the makers are yet to come up with an update on the same.
Santhosh Narayanan composes music for the project which has cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna and editing by Vivek Harshan. Simran, Bobby Simhaa, Vani Bhojan and Sananth among others play pivotal roles in the project produced by Lalit Kumar of Seven Screen Studio.
Though Anirudh Ravichander was initially considered to be the film's composer, Santhosh came on board as the former has been on a roll with back-to-back assignments. Dinesh Subbarayan has been roped in as the movie's stunt choreographer.
The first look and title of Mahaan were released a few months ago, followed by its first single, titled Soorayattam. This is the first film of Karthik with Vikram, while Simran, Simhaa and Sananth have done films with Karthik earlier, too.
Fans of Vikram have their fingers crossed with regard to the film's release. They are banking on Ajay Gnanamuthu's Cobra, Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and Pa Ranjith's movies when the reports of Mahaan started surfacing on social media.
