Karthikeya 2 grosses 100 crores, Nikhil Siddhartha says the film's success is a proud moment for Telugu people

Nikhil Siddhartha-starrer Karthikeya 2 has been creating waves in Tollywood and Bollywood with excellent word of mouth. The film, directed by Chandoo Mondeti, was released on August 13, and despite completing two weeks of theatrical run, it isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

The adventure drama netted almost 20 crores from Hindi belts and its overall collection is reportedly around 100 crores gross. This is the career highest grossing movie of Nikhil. Interestingly, the film's collection has surpassed the actor's previous biggest hit Ekkadiki Pothaavu Chinnavaada in three days.

He attended a massive success meet of the movie the other day at Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. Quite buoyed by the success of the movie, an elated Nikhil thanked the audience. He has also been thanking movie buffs from across the country from his social media page.  

In his speech, he said, "I have received 100 crores in the form of love from film lovers from across the world. I still believe the love I have been receiving is bigger than the box office numbers. I'm grateful for the support you have been showering on me over the years."

Karthikeya 2 is the fifth Telugu film which has surprised the Bollywood trade with exceptional numbers after Baahubali, Baahubali 2, Pushpa and RRR. According to Nikhil, the film followed the footsteps of the other four Tollywood movies and termed its success as a proud moment for Telugu people. 

Anupama Parameswaran has played the female lead in the movie which has Srinivas Reddy and Harsha essaying important roles. Both the actors were seen in Karthikeya as well. The presence of Anupam Kher in a significant character is one of the highlights of Karthikeya 2.
