Ayalaan, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is all set to release in Telugu on January 26
Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Ayalaan, which hit theatres on the festive Pongal weekend, is gearing up for its Telugu release on January 26. Just before the film's release, Ayalaan’s team was present at a pre-release event in Hyderabad that was attended by fans and celebrities from the Tollywood industry. The highlight of the event was RX100 actor Kartikeya Gummakonda’s dance performance with Sivakarthikeyan. The Telugu actor was excited and took to the stage to do the hook step to the film’s hit song 'Ayalaa Ayalaa' with Sivakarthikeyan. The song is composed by AR Rahman.
Sharing the now-viral clip, Kartikeya recalled his "memorable" moment with the Ayalaan star. The actor also conveyed his best wishes to the film’s team ahead of the release of the Telugu version of the film tomorrow (January 26).
Pongal release winner Ayalaan, which opened to positive reviews, has now raked in approximately Rs 80 crore worldwide. Although its fellow competitor, Dhanush’s Captain Miller, is ahead in numbers, Ayalaan did not disappoint the audience and has captivated young audiences with its fun and entertaining visuals. Thanks to the film’s success, the makers have now green-lighted a sequel to Ayalaan.
In a statement, PhantomFX, the company that handled the VFX and CGI visuals of Ayalaan, announced that the makers of the film will be starting work on the second installment of the sci-fi comedy. A budget of Rs 50 crore has been set aside for the VFX, which gives one an idea about the overall budget of the film. “Audiences can anticipate an extraordinary visual spectacle that blends the creative brilliance of Sivakarthikeyan and the directorial finesse of R. Ravikumar and the groundbreaking VFX and CGI from PhantomFX,” the statement read.
Directed by R Ravikumar, Chithha actor Siddharth is the voice behind the alien Ayalaan. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikar, Sharad Kelkar, Yogi Babu and Karunakaran.
