One of the highlights of Valimai is the antagonist's role essayed by Telugu actor Kartikeya. The action thriller marked his debut in Kollywood. He had earlier shared his experiences of working with Ajith and director Vinoth in the movie. Now, he has taken to Twitter to thank both of them and film lovers for the appreciation that is coming his way. 

He said that the character Naren he played in the film will remain as a life time memory for him and that overwhelmed is too small a word he can use to describe his current feelings. 

Kartikeya thanked Ajith for being a good human being and thanked God for making him meet a huge star like the latter. He also expressed his gratitude to Vinoth for believing him. He was all praise for Ajith's fans as well for the unlimited support and love they showered on him.

He tweeted, "#Vinoth sir,Super great-full for believing i can pull this off. #Ajith sir, thank you god for making me meet a human being like this. And biggest thanks to #Ajith sir fans for the amazing support and love (sic)." 

He also posted a couple of his exclusive stills from the film's climax fight scene which had him showcasing his ripped physique. The actor, along with Huma Qureshi and producer Boney Kapoor, attended the movie's special show in a popular theatre in Chennai.

Meanwhile, the film is said to have created record opening in Ajith's career in many territories in Tamil Nadu. Fans of the star have been trending hashtags like Valimai Conquers Box Office, Valimai Blockbuster and Valimai Blockbuster Reports on Twitter. As expected, fans fight, too, have begun on social media as soon as the day one numbers started doing the rounds.
