Kathal trailer: Sanya Malhotra, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz starrer is a masala comedy-drama inspired by true-ish events

Kathal is a social comedy-drama starring Sanya Malhotra, Rajpal Yadav, and Vijay Raaz. Bankrolled by the Oscar-winning filmmaker Guneet Monga Kapoor along with Ektaa R Kapoor, the investigative satire comedy is directed by Yashowardhan Mishra. The makers have dropped the official trailer of the movie which sees a bunch of cops on the pursuit of missing Jackfruits.

The latest trailer begins with Rajpal as a reporter trying to trespass into a politician's (Vijay) house to get some breaking news from the police officers, who can be seen investigating something serious. The Hera Pheri actor calls a police officer, played by Sanya, to ask what exactly is happening inside. The latter doesn't like the way he calls her and diverts his question. 

Sanya tries to stop her laugh, as soon as the politician informs a senior police officer that two jackfruit got stolen from his house. She tells her senior that it sincerely can't be filed as a police report as people will start filing missing reports if any of their vegetables get stolen, to which her superior tells her to cooperate as it eventually becomes a high-profile case due to the politician's influence in the town.

Moving on, Sanya can be seen leading a huge team of the police force to find the two missing vegetables as well as going undercover for the same. Sanya Rajpal and Vijay Raaz starrer definitely seems a masala movie packed with comedy, and satire with a pinch of romance and action as well.

Makers dropped the latest trailer with a special caption that reads, "Yaha Kathal ke alawa sab kuch milega! Please cooperate! #Kathal releases 19th May, only on Netflix! (sic)."
