Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam: Siddhi Idnani is set to surprise audiences in Madurai. Details inside

Siddhi Idnani, who made her Tamil debut with Silambarasan-starrer Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, is the female lead in Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam which hit screens yesterday. The Arya-starrer helmed by Muthaiya was billed as a rural drama set in Ramanathapuram.

The film, which follows the regular template the director relies on, has opened to mixed response from critics. Action scenes and emotional portions are said to be the highlights of the film which has music composed by GV Prakash. Prabhu, Aadukalam Naren, BS Avinash and Viji Chandrasekhar among others essay key roles in the movie.

The makers and a couple of exhibitors have claimed that the project has witnessed a surge in the audience's reception since the evening show yesterday. Zee5 has bagged its digital rights and the film is expected to drop on the platform towards the end of this month.

Zee Studios, one of the producers of Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam, has now come up with a surprise for the audience in Madurai. Siddhi Idnani will be visiting a couple of theatres in the city which will screen the movie at 9 pm and 10 pm today. The excited actress has taken to her social media page to post, "Coming to meet you all at Maduraiii! Please keep the food ready (sic)."    

The actress was in the news recently for her performance in The Kerala Story which has grossed more than 200 crores from India recently. She will next be seen in Tamil in Nooru Kodi Vaanavil. Sasi has directed the movie which has her paired opposite Harish Kalyan.

The rom-com was the first project she had actually signed in Kollywood. Though the news was out more than a year ago, it was the Gautham Menon directorial which was her first release in Tamil.
