Arya surprised one and all with his rustic appearance in the first look poster of Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam which was released on his birthday a few months ago. Its makers have now unveiled its action-packed teaser which has the star literally flexing muscles and beating up baddies black and blue.

Attired in a black shirt and a black veshti, the actor is seen sporting long hair and thick beard for his character in the movie which is set against a rural backdrop. The plot and conflict of the film reminds us of director Muthaiya's previous projects.

Karthi-starrer Viruman was the filmmaker's previous outing; the movie which offered nothing new turned out to be a hit at the box office. Cinephiles are eager to know what Muthaiya has come up with this time. The makers are yet to announce its release date, but it is expected that Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam will be released this year.

Zee Studios and Vedikkaranpatti S Sakthivel of Drumsticks Productions have bankrolled the project which has music composed by GV Prakash. Siddhi Idnani, who made her Tamil debut with Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, is playing the female lead in the film which stars Prabu, Bhagyaraj, Singampuli, Naren, Tamizh and Madhusudhana Rao among others as well.

R Velraj has cranked the camera for the movie which has stunt choreography helmed by Anl Arasu. Venkat Raajen and Veeramani Ganesan are in charge of editing and art direction respectively. Leading dance choreographers Baba Baskar, Shobi, Sandy, Jani, Sheriff and Sathish have worked for Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam.

The film will be Arya's first major outing in 2023; he was seen in a cameo in Bobby Simha's Vasantha Mullai in February. He is gearing up for the much-hyped Sarpatta 2 which will have Pa Ranjith at its helm.
