Kattikoda lyric video: Shweta Mohan's mellifluous voice is the soul of this melody song from Taanakkaran

The makers of Taanakkaran, which has Vikram Prabhu playing the lead role in it, had announced recently that the film will have a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar soon. Though they are yet to come up with its release date soon, they announced the release of its first lyric video the other day.

Titled Kattikoda, the single which has lyrics by Chandru and music composed by Ghibran, features voice lent by Shweta Mohan. The melody track involves the film's female lead, played by Anjali Nair, expressing her love towards the protagonist, essayed by Vikram Prabhu. 

The mellifluous voice by Shweta is the highlight of the song which has been complemented by simple, yet efficient lyrics and soothing composition by Ghibran. The romantic portions between the pair have been shot in the backdrop of a police training camp as the movie's story revolves around the infamous camp.

Based on some true events, Taanakkaran is about the sufferings a few aspiring cops face during their training sessions from their seniors. Lal, Madhusudhanan and MS Bhaskar among others essay key roles in the movie which was completed a while ago. 

The project has been written by Tamizh, who shot to fame with the portrayal of a corrupt cop in Jai Bhim, recently. SR Prakash Babu, SR Prabhu, P Gobinath and Thanga Prabaharan have bankrolled the movie under Potential Studios. Madhesh Manickam and Philomin Raj have handled the film's cinematography and editing respectively.

Thiruman S Ragavan has been at the helm of the film's art direction while Stunner Sam has choreographed action sequences. The movie was in the news earlier when Vikram Prabhu had shed a few kilos to play the character of a police trainee.
