Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 has been gaining love and praise from fans like previous seasons. The show features contestants with their unique stories that inspire the generation. The latest episode of KBC 16 featured an emotional and inspiring story of Mintu Sarkar, a tea stall owner from Raiganj, West Bengal. Mintu who earns Rs. 3000 monthly, won big at the show.
Mintu Sarkar who was nervous at first, won ₹10,000 with the encouragement of Amitabh Bachchan and showcasing both knowledge and resilience. He also used the Audience Poll and answered a ₹40,000 question about the kingdom of Magadh.
As the game progressed, Mintu continued winning and correctly answered the ₹12,50,000 question about the motto of INS Vikrant. For ₹25 lakh, he identified Rishi Gautam as Ahalya’s husband from the Valmiki Ramayana. Mintu also sang a song, earning a standing ovation. However, he decided to quit at ₹50 lakh after failing to answer the question about K1 mountain's original name and bagged a total of ₹25 lakh.
Sharing his life story with host Amitabh Bachchan, Mintu revealed how his father's death in January 2024 forced him to take on family responsibilities. Earning only ₹3,000-3,500 per month, he runs a tea stall and a ration shop to make ends meet.
