KH 233: It's official! Kamal Haasan joins hands with H Vinoth, announcement leaves fans into a tizzy

Fans of Kamal Haasan, who have been waiting for exciting updates on Indian 2, are now excited, as an unexpected announcement has left them thrilled. Earlier today, it was revealed that an update would be unveiled pertaining to Raaj Kamal Films International's next.

Many speculated that it would be an update on Silambarasan's STR 48 or SK 21. However, the official update left Ulaganayagan fans excited. Staying true to rumours that did rounds a while ago, the veteran actor-filmmaker is set to team up with H Vinoth. 

Both of them were recently spotted at an event that fueled speculation of them joining hands for a project. An official word was awaited, though. Tentatively titled KH 233, a promo video has been released that features a pulsating background score. The makers are yet to reveal the cast and crew details of the untitled film. 

The project's highlight is its tagline 'Rise to Rule', hinting at the movie being a political drama. It's also RKFI's 52nd project. Cinephiles are curious to know what Vinoth is going to come up with this time. 

The filmmaker, who made a sensational debut with Sathuranga Vettai, teamed up with Ajith continuously for three films, Nerkonda Paarvai, Valimai and Thunivu. Interestingly, the announcement on KH 234 was made earlier. The project brings together Kamal and Mani Ratnam after a hiatus of more than three decades.

The Vikram star is also expected to work with the likes of Mahesh Narayanan, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vetri Maaran and Pa Ranjith. Meanwhile, Indian 2 is said to be hitting screens as a Pongal release in multiple languages on January 2024.
