Kiccha Sudeep confirms that his next, #Kiccha46, will take off on June 1

After months and months of speculation about his next project, dubbed #Kiccha46, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep has confirmed that he will begin shooting for it soon. Sudeep, whose last release was Vikrant Rona that came out on July 28, 2022, has not had a new film announcement in three years, so the news has, obviously, excited his fans and how. Taking to Twitter earlier today, Sudeep wrote that he begins shooting for his next on June 1 and that a promo shoot for it would happen a week earlier. However, the actor provided no details on the team that he is collaborating with, so that remains for another day.

Sudeep tweeted, “Happy to announce that the promo shoot of one of the three films I'm starting Wil go on floor on the 22nd of May. June 1st will be the launch. 🤗🤗❤️A script n a genre that excited me and a film I'm looking forward to.” The actor had earlier said that he had okayed not one, but three projects, so it remains to be seen which one he will start with.

During the promotions of Vikrant Rona, Sudeep had said that he was looking forward to collaborating with director-writer Anup Bhandari yet again, and the duo had announced multiple possible collaborations, including Billa Ranga Baasha, an untitled film based on the mythological character Ashwathama and a possible sequel to Vikrant Rona. At the same time, both Sudeep and Maanaadu filmmaker Venkat Prabhu teased the possibility of a collaboration, after the latter visited the actor. Sudeep had also said that he wanted to work with director Nandakishore yet again, while rumours suggested Tamil filmmaker Cheran could be making one of the three films the actor has greenlit. One of the most outrageous rumours, though, which, if true, could be quite something, was the possibility of Sudeep working with Hombale Films, given his growing friendship with producer Karthik Gowda, with whom he presented the last edition of the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup. Hombale Films has a commitment with Soorarai Pottru maker Sudha Kongra, which was announced a long time ago, and fans had speculated that her film could be with Sudeep, after all.
