Kiccha Sudeep recently hit the headlines when he announced momentously that he would be campaigning for Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai and other members of the Bharatiya Janata Party, ahead of the 2023 Karnataka elections. The 51-year-old actor declared his emphatic support for the chief minister and other select candidates but refused to admit that he is linked or directly affiliated with the party in question.

And keeping the promise made to his 'mama' (CM Bommai), Sudeep has joined a massive roadshow held in the Shiggaon constituency of Karnataka. Shiggaon happens to the Basavaraj Bommai's chosen Karnataka legislature assembly constituency from where he will be filing his nomination for the upcoming state elections. 

What's been deemed as a 'big day' with respect to the 2023 Karnataka elections, Sudeep's presence in the midst has surely yielded incredible results for the party. Quite evidently, the Vikrant Rona actor has managed to attract a massive crowd as the town Shiggaon comes to life - fans of the actor have utilized the roadshow as an opportunity to see the superstar first-hand and possibly, meet with him briefly during the event. Social media, too, is abuzz with posts regarding Kiccha Sudeep and the roadshow.

Many of them, who are overjoyed that they could meet the actor, took to social media to share their sentiments.

"Gedde Gelluve Ondu Dina, Gellale Beku Ollethana" ("I will emerge a winner one day, Virtuousness always triumphs") said Sudeep in his public speech and drew a massive response, before saying that he will make sure that his support will certainly fetch CM Bommai a win from his constituency.

Kiccha Sudeep's decision to campaign for the BJP was met with mixed reactions, with some encouraging the actor and the rest imploring him to not venture into politics at any cost. Fellow actor Prakash Raj was among the many critics of Sudeep and the well-known actor recently expressed his disappointment through a social media post.
