As the daughter of Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, Sanvi Sudeep has had the fortune of meeting and spending time with several other stars across the country. Among them, her first meeting with Salman Khan, when Sudeep was working with him on Dabangg 3 is a memory that she cherishes to this day. Sanvi was on the Jinal Modi podcast when she spoke about the amazing 3 days at Salman’s farmhouse.
“That was the most fun I have had in my life when appa (Sudeep) was shooting for Dabangg 3,” says Sanvi, elaborating how she accompanied her father to Galaxy Apartments for dinner with Salman, which was initially overwhelming for her, but once the Bollywood superstar spoke to her, he put her at ease. Salman got so fond of Sanvi, that he made her sing, which she did, following which he called the music directors (Sajid-Wajid) and told him that he was sending a girl across and that they were to record her for a track. “He asked them to keep my voice, in case they needed it for something and I recorded the next day,” she says.
Sanvi’s version did not make it to the eventual soundtrack, which she puts down to the fact that it was a romantic number and that given that she was only 14 years old at the time, she didn’t know how to get the emotions right for such a song. “At every party, he’d play my version of the song and ask other celebrities to guess who sang it,” she adds. Thereafter, Salman invited Sudeep and family to his farmhouse, where Sanvi then spent the most memorable 3 days of her life. “He spoilt me and how,” she says.
On the same podcast, Sanvi revealed that she was prepping for her acting debut. She is currently focused on self-grooming – including workouts and skin care, among others – but is also looking at working behind the scenes on her father’s films as well as her cousin Sanchith’s debut venture.
