Late last night, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep revealed a series of images showing off his much bulkier physique, with a caption that read, “April 16”. Sudeep, who was last seen in the action thriller Max , has been gearing up for his next collaboration with Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari, Billa Ranga Baashaa, a film for which he has mentioned multiple times that he needs to pile on the pounds, albeit as muscles. During the promotions of Vikrant Rona, Sudeep had posted that after sporting a lean physique for the film, Anup wanted him to bulk up.
While fitness has been a big part of Sudeep’s every day regime since Pailwaan, he’s always sported a lean and muscular frame. Billa Ranga Baashaa will be departure from that, going by the images Sudeep has been sharing every now and then. Nearly six months ago, the actor had shown off his chiselled abs, his bulging biceps and the cuts and definition on his arms, adding that he was a few steps closer to the goal in mind.
The latest set of images, has Sudeep at his biggest ever, it would seem. But given that he’s not said anything about his goal, but instead thrown a date at his fans, it would be safe to assume that this is what he’d been working towards and how audiences will see him in Billa Ranga Baashaa. Fans, of course, are thrilled with this makeover, exlaiming, "Boss in beast mode". It was earlier reported that Billa Ranga Baashaa would go on floors in mid-March, with special sets having been erected in the outskirts of Bengaluru for the same.
PrimeShow Entertainment, the makers of the hit Hanu-Man, will be backing Billa Ranga Baashaa, with Sudeep’s Kiccha Creations also credited as producers. The actor has been quoted as saying that going forward, he will be involved in the capacity of producer in all of his upcoming projects. For Sudeep's last, Max, in which he played a cop , it was said that the terms of his deal were such that he would retain the theatrical revenue of the film, while producer Kalaippuli S Thanu would take the non-theatrical revenue. Sudeep is likely to have a similar deal for his next.
