In his 14-15 year career as a music composer, Ajaneesh Loknath got his first opportunity to collaborate with Kiccha Sudeep on Vikrant Rona, the score of which, especially the BGM and songs like Ra Ra Rakkamma, were widely appreciated. Sudeep, it would have seem has taken a fancy to the music man, as he has was then roped in to score for the actor’s next, which, as of today is called Max. But that’s not all. On the eve of Sudeep’s birthday, it was revealed that the actor-filmmaker is making a return to directing after a decade, with a film that will go on floors next year. A gangster flick called King Kichcha, this one will also be an Ajaneesh musical.

King Kichcha will also herald Ajaneesh’s return to the KRG Studios fold. He had composed music for two of the banner’s early productions – Rathnan Prapancha and Gurudev Hoysala. Thereafter, the production house chose to get Charan Raj on board for Uttarakaanda, and Vasuki Vaibhav for Kirik’et 11. King Kichcha, meanwhile, will be Sudeep’s next project. The actor is currently committed to #Kichcha46 – Max – which is being shot in Mahabalipuram. Sources tell us that the film is only about half done and will need at least another 2-3 months in production, given the scale it is being made on. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Max is being directed by Vijay Karthikeyan. Rumours suggest that the actor will be seen as a fierce and ruthless cop in the film.

King Kichcha is expected to go on floors after Sudeep completes Max, after which, currently R Chandru’s film is being heard as next in line. In the past, Sudeep had spoken about two more collaborations, at least, with Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari, but the status on those, Billa Ranga Baasha and Ashwatthama, remains unknown, as well as the proposed film with Maanaadu maker Venkat Prabhu.
