King: Shah Rukh Khan injured on sets; Shooting to resume in September or October | Report

Siddharth Anand's King is one of the most-awaited films that has been grabbing attention ever since it was announced. It stars Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, Abhay Verma, and others. Now, a recent report revealed that SRK and Suhana are all set to begin their Scotland shoot soon.

Shah Rukh Khan injured at King sets

As per Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan, who was shooting for some intense action sequences at the Golden Tobacco studio in Mumbai, met with an accident, leading to an injury. “While exact details of the injury have been kept under wraps, Shah Rukh, along with his team, has travelled to the US for urgent medical attention. It’s nothing serious, but more of a muscular injury, as Shah Rukh over the years has injured multiple muscles of his body while performing stunts," the source added. 

The source also said that after the surgery, Shah Rukh is being advised to take a month's break from work. Meanwhile, the report mentions that King's next schedule will now start in September or October as Shah Rukh has been advised to take time for recovery. Once he fully recovers from the injury, he will once again perform on the sets with full strength.

According to the report, bookings for shooting various portions of King at Film City, Golden Tobacco, and YRF from July to August have been cancelled until further notice. King is scheduled to be shot in India and Europe.

King features Shah Rukh in the role of an assassin. On the other hand, Suhana will reportedly be his young protégé. This film marks Suhana's first theatrical release.

As per reports, King's story is about a father-daughter duo seeking revenge after an injustice was done to Suhana, with Shah Rukh's character guiding her and providing her with survival skills.
