Knockout lyric video: Anirudh's voice and Vignesh Shivan's catchy lyrics stand out in this peppy song from Arasiyalla Idhellam Saadharnamappa

The shooting of Arasiyalla Idhellam Saadharnamappa was wrapped up more than three years ago. Directed by Avinaash Hariharan, the movie stars Veera and Malavika Nair in lead roles. Pasupathy, Robo Shankar, Naan Kadavul Rajendran and Lollu Sabha Swaminathan play pivotal roles in the film which has Sudarshan cranking the camera and Praveen Antony handling the editing. The makers had released its trailer two years ago, and there has been no major update on the film since then. 

Though a new poster of the movie was released last year, there was no news about its release plans. On Thursday, the makers came up with Knockout song, a lyric video from the movie, written by Vignesh Shivan and sung by Anirudh, who is riding high on the success of Doctor. The peppy song has been composed by Madley Blues. Vignesh Shivan, who recently penned lyrics for the hit song Naanga Vera Maari from Valimai, has come up with catchy lyrics this time, too. 

Anirudh, on the other hand, has elevated the song with his flawless voice, and the song is likely to be lapped up by youngsters though we have come across songs of similar pattern in the past. Tipped as an out-and-out comic caper, the film's story revolves around a wedding planner from Chennai, a photographer from Pondicherry, a hitman from Mumbai and a politician who are brought together by fate. 

While the film marks the debut of director Avinash, Veera, who was an assistant to Gautham Menon, shot to fame with the psychological thriller Nadunisi Naaygal (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar). Veera was last seen in the heist thriller Rajathanthiram (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) directed by AG Amid. Arasiyalla Idhellam Saadharnamappa is the second outing of its female lead, Malavika Nair, who debuted in Tamil with the hit film Cuckoo (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar).
