Vicky Kaushal on Dunki star Shah Rukh Khan
During a conversation about Vicky Kaushal’s special role in Dunki, the host Karan Johar revealed that Shah Rukh Khan appreciated Kaushal’s exceptional performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s upcoming film and this made the latter radiate with a cheerful smile. When asked how he felt working with SRK, the actor proudly lauded SRK’s work ethic and his determination towards his shots and films.
The Sam Bahadur actor also appreciated SRK’s commitment and resolute work ethic towards his craft. Jotting down some of his Dunki co-star's skills, the Zara Hatke Zara Bachke actor conveyed how he now understands the reasons why he is called the King (Baadshaah).
“That’s him. I met him and I realized how little I am doing at this age. He just gives his 100% in everything. He is just something else. It was like this was his first film, ” he told Johar.
Dunki Body-double scene
Reminiscing Dunki’s film shoot, Vicky Kaushal revealed that there was a short scene where he had to share the screen with Jawan actor but due to some last-minute urgent work, the latter had to abruptly leave for Delhi and thus the scene was done with the help of a body double.
What follows next is a kind gesture of the humble superstar. Kaushal remembered that SRK personally reached out to him via call and messages and also urged him to reshoot the scene with him giving the cues once he is back.
“I told him we had done it well, but he insisted that he would come back and shoot it. However, I requested him to see the shoot done with his body double, and only after seeing the scene, he was convinced it was done well,” Kaushal shared.
Led by Shah Rukh Khan – Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. The highly anticipated film will be released on 21 December.
Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Meghna Gulzar’s war biopic Sam Manekshaw, alongside Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
