Koffee With Karan S8 E7 – Sidharth Malhotra surprisingly proposed Kiara Advani in Rome, that too in front of his parents

Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal brought the heat to the seventh episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8. This is the first time the duo reunited on screen, after Lust Stories in 2018. From sharing their unique marriage proposals, offering glimpses into their personal lives, poking fun at Karan Johar for his age, revealing some cringe moments with their spouses to working with Shah Rukh Khan in Dunki, no doubt the duo made the episode quite emotional, yet entertaining.

While Vicky’s wife Katrina Kaif last appeared on Koffee With Karan Season 7 along with Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Kiara’s husband Sidharth Malhotra appeared on Season 8 Episode 5 with Varun Dhawan.

Previously we have discussed what Sidharth calls Kiara’s parents, which is MIL as Mother-In-Law and FIL as Father-In-Law. Kiara revealed that Sidharth is very chilled out with her parents, and keeps a friendly nature with them. That's pretty unique isn't it?

Sidharth Malhotra's surprise marriage proposal

However, Kiara finally spilled the beans about the highly intriguing question of all of their fans, which is, how did Sidharth propose to Kiara for marriage? The Shershaah actress shared that they were on a vacation in Rome. Although Kiara’s parents were in Mumbai because her mother was affected by Covid, Sidharth’s parents and a few other family members attended the couple in Rome.

The interesting part is, although Kiara could have guessed that Sidharth might propose to him, she did not expect the grand surprise. The 31-year-old actress shared that they were all very tired due to jet lag, and she was super sleepy, still Sidharth took her to a Michelin Star restaurant. There he prepared some music, candles, and a cosy yet beautiful moment. Even one of Sidharth’s cousins was there at the restaurant to capture the exquisite moments. She revealed that Sidharth went on knees, and proposed to her. She was so very excited that she instantly babbled the news to Karan Johar then and there on a video call.

Kiara Advani's dream came true

Kiara shared that she has always wanted such a proposal in a grand way, and Sidharth did it just like her dreams. When Karan asked him if she has any single-life moment to remember, Kiara shared that she is currently so happy in her married life, that there are no such moments to cherish now.

Kiara Advani's struggles in handling a family after marriage

While talking about their married life, Kaira shared that she is like a daddy’s princess and lived with her parents, Sidharth has always lived alone and did everything alone from the past ten years. So when Kiara got married, she was quite terrified because she did not know how to manage a house. She literally used to call her mother and expressed her immense gratitude for handling the family so calmly. But after nine months of marriage, she has settled down, and became quite an expert with the help of Sidharth.
