Bobby Deol has been a part of several OTT projects produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
OTT has proven to be a game-changer for Bobby Deol in every possible way. The actor plays the lead role in Prakash Jha's web series Aashram, in which he plays the role of Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala, aka Monty Singh. However, the actor has also appeared in a few OTT movies, such as Class of '83 and Love Hostel, which were both produced by Shah Rukh Khan's own production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Bobby's revelation on Koffee With Karan Season 8
On Koffee With Karan Season 8, during his recent appearance with Sunny Deol, Bobby revealed that he is also a part of Aryan Khan's directorial debut, Stardom, which is an OTT series. The actor stated on Karan Johar's talk show, "Things don't happen easily. Like, Class of '83 is a subject that... I always wanted to do those kinds of subjects, but I never used to get them. When I got that, I think I have a relationship with Red Chillies. It started with Class of '83, then I did Love Hostel, and now with Aryan's show. They have always given me good stuff. I mean, I always thank God."
Bobby's perspective on nepotism
Bobby said, "Our parents were outsiders," in reference to the nepotism discussion that Kangana Ranaut started on the Koffee With Karan couch. He added, "They were not from the industry, and they made a name for themselves. We didn't choose to be born to them. We were blessed to be born to them. We didn't ask; we got it. So why should we feel the brunt of it? I mean, look at my career. I am an example for people. You can be any star kid; if it doesn't work out for you, there's nothing."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bobby will next be seen in Animal as the main antagonist. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the leading role, Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, and Anil Kapoor as his onscreen father.
On December 1, 2023, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Animal will premiere in theatres.
