Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 8 Story:

The latest episode was Kapoor vs. Kapur! Before dumping some truth bombs during Koffee shots, the brooding bachelors Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur discuss their dating lives and professional trajectories.

Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 8 Review:

The shortest episode of this season, featuring Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, was 44 minutes long, and well, it looked like there's nothing to talk about. It felt like Karan Johar was hosting a quiz-based show, and the two actors were the contestants. After watching Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani on the couch, I have realised that celebs will be fully guarded if they have not admitted to a relationship. So you definitely cannot expect Aditya Roy Kapur to let loose and give his candid best.

Moreover, the episode felt like a rant show by host Karan Johar, who, to be honest, wanted to express his angst over the reaction to his "best episode," the season premiere featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. More than the truth bombs, it was F-bombs that were dropped, and once it began, how to stop it, the three of them didn't know.

Of course, addressing the elephant in the room meant acknowledging Aditya's relationship with Ananya Panday. Although there was no admission, there wasn't any denial, and there was still nothing more on the table. For a change, even though Arjun had little to say about Malaika Arora, the nothingness still remained. Soon after, they shifted the topic to their professional lives, discussing the downs and entering self-analysis mode. But then we still have to talk about personal lives, so let's go back to social media trolls.

Well, like mentioned above, that topic was only so that Karan could go on a rant. Both Aditya and Arjun became quite the listeners during the segment and kept on saying, "Yes" to it. Well, I am sure it's important to address whatever Karan mentioned and clarify it in this season itself. But it seemed like the agenda for the episode was just that.

The jumping of topics was so quick that it felt like I was watching the episode at 1.5x speed. When the Koffee Shots round came about, I checked how far we were into the episode, only to see I was halfway through. Because, take it or not, the quizzes were there for entertainment purposes, but it was white noise to get over the real talk.

Even while discussing movies, Arjun definitely stole the show like he does every year, sharing about his flops and assuring himself that it's still not the end and this too shall pass. While Aditya probably wrapped it up in 50 words, take it or leave it. They made his "sex appeal" appear far more interesting than anything else; naturally, the Ananya Panday topic remained a priority.

Well, in search of substance from these "brooding" bachelors, we got a glimpse of the locker room conversations, but all was lost in vain, with only a gentle reminder that Tuffy is the dog's name in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!

Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 8 Verdict:

The latest episode featuring Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur got us to know a lot of facts about Ranbir Kapoor, including that he doesn't like when someone praises his work too much. Well, that's the biggest takeaway from my midnight shenanigans.
