Kolai motion poster: An intriguing sneak peek into the whodunit, starring Vijay Antony in the lead

The makers of Kolai have been unveiling interesting character posters for the last few days. They have now come up with its motion poster featuring the principal cast, including Vijay Antony, who plays an investigative officer in the whodunit. The one-minute motion poster introduces a photographer, a boyfriend, a neighbour, an agent and a manager who are in the suspect list of the officer, following the murder of a girl named Leila.

Unlike the regular motion posters, the makers have cleverly introduced all crucial characters in the film through effective usage of light and shadow.

Balaji K Kumar of Vidiyum Munn fame has directed the movie which has Ritika Singh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Murali Sharma, Siddhartha Shankar and John Vijay among others playing pivotal characters. Infiniti Film Ventures and Lotus Pictures have jointly bankrolled the project which has cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan.

Girishh Gopalakrishnan and Selva RK have handled music direction and editing respectively for the film which has K Aarusamy helming art direction and Vijay Rathinam in charge of sound designing. Balakumaran Tamilselvan, Deepak Krishna and Madan Subra have written the movie along with the director, while Durga Prasad has penned dialogues.

Vijay Antony's last outing was Kodiyil Oruvan (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which was released a year ago. The composer-turned-actor currently has more than half-a-dozen projects in his kitty. Pichaikkaran 2, which marks his directorial debut, is one among them.

The cop thriller Thamezharasan was supposed to release towards the end of last year, but the makers postponed its release due to reasons best known to them. Agni Siragugal, Khaki, Kolai, Ratham and Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan are other projects of Vijay that are expected to release soon.
