A rural family drama, the film has Sasikumar and SR Prabhakaran joining hands after Sundarapandian

As announced earlier, the trailer of Kombu Vatcha Singamda was unveiled by Gautham Menon, Samuthirakani, Arun Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj. Directed by SR Prabhakaran, the film stars Sasikumar in the lead; the film marks the duo's second outing after the successful Sundarapandian.
The two minute trailer, which is set against a village, provides a glimpse into various elements in the family drama, including a revenge tale and romantic track. Madonna Sebastian plays the female lead in the film which has Soori, Harish Peradi, Sangili Murugan, Aruldoss and Sendrayan among others. The film's producer Inder Kumar will be seen essaying a crucial role in the movie. Filmmaker Mahendran, who passed away a couple of years ago, is also seen in the trailer.
A few songs composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas which the makers had released earlier was well received by movie buffs and music lovers. National Award winning stunt choreographers Anbariv has handled action sequences in the movie which has cinematography by NK Ekhambaram and editing by V Don Bosco. The project, which went on floors three years ago, is based on an infamous incident which took place in Madurai a couple of decades ago. Shot in Karaikudi, Pollachi and Tenkasi, Kombu Vatcha Singamda also touches upon the element of friendship.
Meanwhile, Sasikumar is gearing up for the theatrical release of Kathir's Rajavamsam. The film, which has him romancing Nikki Galrani, will be hiting the screens on October 14. The movie was supposed to make it to the theatres in January this year. He also has Ponram's MGR Magan and Anis' Pagaivanuku Arulvai awaiting release. His movie, Udan Pirappe, under the direction of Saravanan, in which he will be seen sharing screen space with Jyotika, will have a premiere on Amazon Prime in October.
