The release date of Koogle Kuttappa, starring filmmaker-turned-actor KS Ravikumar in lead roles, was announced as May 6 recently. The film is the official remake of Malayalam movie Android Kunjappan Version 5.25 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) which was released in 2019.

The makers have now unveiled a sneak peek video of the film which has been directed by debutants Sabari and Saravanan who were assistants to Ravikumar. The one-and-a-half minute video begins with an android robot serving coffee to Subramani, played by Ravikumar. However, the septuagenarian expresses disappointment over the 'machine' calling him by his name.

He warns the robot not to repeat the same and asks why coffee is being served to him despite him giving instructions not to do it. But the robot shoots back at him saying that he just walked away when he was asked about coffee, instead of saying no to it.

An irked Subramani asks the robot to drink the coffee, to which the latter says that machines are unable to drink anything. Tharshan, who plays Ravikumar's son in the movie, enters the scene and listens to the argument between the two characters.

After losing patience, Subramani threatens that he will kill the robot, but the latter replies slyly that machines can't be killed. Later, he asks it to pour the coffee on his head, but the dedicated machine says that a robot never harms its possessor.

Losliya Mariyanesan, Yogi Babu and Prankster Ragul among others essay crucial characters in the project which has music composed by Ghibran. Praveen Antony and Arvi have handled editing and cinematography respectively for Koogle Kuttappa which has been produced by Ravikumar himself. The film is the veteran director's production venture after a couple of decades.
