Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has proved her acting prowess with her performances in films like Mimi, Luka Chuppi, Raabta, Bareilly Ki Bafri, and more. The actress who recently received a prestigious National Award at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi recently discussed how the financial success of female- and male-led films is determined by how differently they are positioned.

Kriti Sanon highlighted how male-led movies receive a specific type of financing and are positioned to be very successful in contrast to films starring women, which have a distinct positioning. In an interview with Film Companion, she said, "It's a bit of a circle because the male-led films are budgeted and positioned in a very larger-than-life grand-scale kind of format and they end up earning that money and I feel like someone needs to really take the front and the risk on positioning a female-led film on that scale."

She went on to describe Ram Charan's RRR entry as 'aspirational.' However, when it comes to films starring women, she said, that we restrict it in terms of either we get frightened of what it's gonna make or not earn, and we sort of limit the positioning and aspirational worth of it and maybe that's why it doesn't wind up generating that kind of money.
