KS Ravikumar to direct Lawrence's brother Elvin; the Kanchana filmmaker to play a cameo in the film

KS Ravikumar, who last directed Rajinikanth in Lingaa in Tamil, is all set to return to Kollywood after a brief hiatus. He will be at the helm for an untitled movie which has Raghava Lawrence's brother Elvin playing the lead. Lawrence, too, will be seen in a cameo in the film which will be bankrolled by Trident Arts Ravindran. 

Interestingly, Elvin made a brief appearance in the song Sillatta Pillatta from Lawrence's Kanchana 2 which released in 2015. The Ravikumar-directorial will be the first movie to have Elvin essaying the lead role. The Twitter handle of Trident Arts announced the news and informed that the movie will be high on action, comedy and emotions. 

Ravikumar has a few upcoming films in which he will be seen essaying pivotal roles. Koogle Kuttapa, which is directed by his assistants Sabari and Saravanan, which is bankrolled by the director, has him playing the lead role, too. A remake of acclaimed Malayalam film Android Kunjappan Version 5.25, the movie is set for a release in 2022. Vikram's Cobra is another expected movie in which he has essayed a notable role. He was last seen in a lead role in Mathil which premiered on Zee5 earlier this year.

Lawrence, on the other hand, has Rudhran which will hit the theatres on April 2022. Priya Bhavani Shankar plays the female lead in the film which has producer Kathiresan wielding the megaphone. The movie also marks his directorial debut. The film was in the new recently when the team shot for the remix version of Paadatha Paattellam Pada Vanthal from Veera Thirumagan. Choreographer Sridhar had composed the moves for the song which will feature both Lawrence and Priya.
