Dia-fame Dheekshith Shetty has not had a release in Kannada in nearly four years. Following the success of Dia, the actor had signed up for a few Kannada films, but they’re all stuck in various stages of production, with a few ready for release. In the meantime, though, the actor’s career in Telugu cinema has taken off and he’s had a few films in theatres, including last year’s Nani-led Dasara. This year, though, Dheekshith should finally be able to see at least two of his Kannada films in theatres – Blink and KTM.

Earlier today, the team revealed the first song from KTM, Sojiga Sojiga, sung by Sanjith Hegde, and composed by Chetan Rao. A lyrical video, the song features Dheekshith and Kaajal Kunder, as he serenades the girl of his dreams.

Written and directed by Aruna, KTM is a film that Dheekshith has been immensely excited about, as he sports multiple looks in it. The actor has four avatars in the film, as the narrative spans across years and captures his character’s journey from his teens to his late 20s. For the teenage portion, Dheekshith sported a clean-shaven look, and lost considerable weight and then went on to bulk up for the latter portions of the film that also had him with more facial fuzz.

In the teaser of KTM that had been released earlier, Dheekshith is seen in a heavily bearded look, which he had explained as the portion in which his character deals with immense personal loss, including love, and turns to alcohol. The actor had said that there is one look from the film that has not been revealed yet.

In an earlier conversation with OTTplay, Dheekshith had told us that following the success of Dasara and the appreciation he got for his character Suri, he was looking at releasing KTM with a Telugu version as well. “The subject will work for audiences there,” he had said, adding that he would dub for the role.

In Telugu, meanwhile, Dheekshith is awaiting the release of his debut web series, in which he plays someone with a superpower. He’s also got Girlfriend with Rashmika Mandanna in the works.
